Start with the part of the assignment you need solved
Searching for “AI ad agency Bahrain” or “AI content production GCC” can return suppliers offering very different services. Some produce films. Others focus on marketing automation, media buying or content software. A website using AI terminology does not establish that it can deliver your advertising assignment.
Write the gap you need filled in one sentence. For example: “We need a launch idea and films for a new fragrance” differs from “We have an approved script and need it produced.” This prevents a production-only quote from being mistaken for a full creative campaign.
AI ad creation tool or production agency?
| Decision | Using a generator yourself | Commissioning an agency |
|---|---|---|
| Message and concept | Your team defines the audience, claim, script and idea. | Confirm whether strategy and concept development are included or supplied by you. |
| Product fidelity | Your team checks packaging, labels, proportions and continuity. | Agree on approved references, accuracy checks and when real product assets are needed. |
| Editing and sound | Generated clips still need selection, sequencing, sound and brand finishing. | Specify the finished film, music, voice, captions and brand end frame. |
| Arabic and English | Your team adapts copy, pronunciation, typography and layouts. | List each language version and the person responsible for approving its meaning. |
| Review and revisions | Your team manages iterations and consolidates feedback. | Agree on approval stages, revision boundaries and changes to the brief. |
| Rights and handover | Your team checks tool terms and permissions for supplied assets. | Document usage permissions, final formats, delivery files and any exclusions. |
Neither route automatically guarantees accuracy or commercial rights. Ask who will make each decision and who will approve the final advertisement. Producing the creative is also separate from buying media or managing an ad account unless those services are explicitly included.
For example, a fragrance launch needs more than an attractive generated bottle shot: someone must confirm the real label and bottle shape, choose the launch message, finish the edit and sound, and approve Arabic and English end frames. This is an illustrative commissioning example, not a claim about a specific client project or its results.
This is a choice about responsibility. For the separate choice between AI, live filming and hybrid execution, read our production-method comparison. Use the briefing checklist to specify the files and approvals you need before comparing proposals.
Compare services, not job titles
| Your situation | Service to look for | Evidence to request |
|---|---|---|
| No clear message or idea | Strategy and creative direction | How the supplier turns brand and audience information into a concept. |
| Approved concept and script | AI video production | Comparable finished films and a process for product accuracy and continuity. |
| Ongoing social assets | AI content production and planning | A coherent series rather than unrelated clips. |
| Arabic and English launch | Bilingual creative adaptation | Natural copy, typography and voice in both versions. |
| Need distribution or ad account management | Media or performance-marketing scope | Written responsibilities separate from producing the assets. |
One supplier may cover several rows, but confirm who owns each decision and what the proposal includes. At The Top Frame, our Studio page explains the relationship between campaign strategy, AI production and content.
Read the portfolio for relevance
Look for work that shares the difficulty of your assignment. A sensorial fragrance film may show strong atmosphere but does not by itself demonstrate exact machinery movement or testimonial production. Ask how the supplier would handle your hardest shot.
Watch for product consistency, text accuracy, coherent pacing, believable interactions and a memorable brand signature. Beautiful isolated frames are not a substitute for a complete film that communicates.
For category examples, review Fashion & Beauty, Food & Beverage and Service Brands. Compare the creative choices with the product or service need, rather than choosing only the most visually dramatic reel.
Ask how approval and quality control work
A useful process distinguishes the brief, concept, visual references, production and finishing. Ask when you approve the message and product details, how feedback is consolidated and what happens if the direction changes after approval.
Ask to see a representative production test when a difficult interaction or product detail is central. Define which references are factual, which are mood references and which assets you will supply. The campaign process guide explains these decision points.
Confirm final formats, language versions, music and voice requirements, revision stages and usage permissions. Do not infer rights or delivery promises from generic statements such as “unlimited creativity.”
Evaluate regional understanding
For a Bahrain, Saudi Arabia/KSA or UAE campaign, ask how the supplier adapts the idea to the audience. A translated headline and a landmark are not enough. Review the occasion, tone, casting context, offers, currency and final call to action.
Arabic should be judged as advertising writing. Ask whether the Arabic line sounds natural, whether the product name is pronounced correctly and whether the layout supports right-to-left reading. The English and Arabic versions should communicate the same strategic idea without being forced into identical wording.
Remote collaboration can work well when the client supplies accurate product information, a clear approval owner and consolidated feedback. The proposal should describe those dependencies rather than imply that location alone guarantees understanding.
Use a shortlist brief
- What part of the assignment do you need the supplier to own?
- Which comparable portfolio work gives you confidence?
- How will the hardest product or motion requirement be handled?
- What is included in each language and format?
- What are the approval stages and revision boundaries?
- Which materials and permissions must you supply?
- How does the estimate fit the agreed scope and deadline?
Send the same production brief to shortlisted suppliers. Use the scope and cost guide to compare their answers. Choose the team whose thinking and process fit the job, rather than the one using the most AI terminology.
